Help File for Late Night Poker Door:
Welcome to "Poker with a twist"! You can select from 7 different variations
of classic card games commonly referred to as Poker. To play, select which
poker game you want, you can change after each hand is done. Then, follow
the instructions on the screen to play the hand. The Ante will always be 20
dollars, the limit on bets and raises is $999,999.00 or your bank amount,
whichever is smaller, but watch out, if you bet or raise a bundle the other
players will fold!
Note: Some Comm Software cannot transmit or receive the Club Character
That the playing cards use. You can Toggle between a standard Club Char
and a capital letter 'C' from the Title screen if this is a problem on
your system.
1. 5 Card Draw Poker: Each player is dealt 5 cards face down, yours are
visible to you on the screen of course, but your computer opponents cannot
see them! As soon as everyone has their cards, you will bet. Your opponents
will then decide whether to call your bet or fold. Then you can draw upto
3 cards, or upto 4 cards if the card you keep is an Ace. After you have
recieved your draw, the other players will draw and you will bet again based
on your cards and what you think the others might have.
After your second bet, the computer will show everyone's cards and
determine who the winner of the hand is. In case of a tie the win will go to
you! If you desire to "Check" when betting, you may enter a bet of zero (0)
2. 5 Card Stud Poker: Each player is dealt one card face down and one card
face up, both of your cards will be face up, but your opponents will not
know what your 1st card dealt is. Whoever has high card will then open
the betting and when it is your turn, you will be asked if you want to
Call, Raise, or Fold.
Call means that you will equal the bet made by the
opening player, if you want to continue the hand, you must Call or Raise
every time you are prompted to Call, Raise or Fold.
Raise means that you will bet more than the original bet, and everyone
else has to match your raise in order to stay in the hand. Press 'R' to
Raise the bet, and then enter the amount OVER THE ORIGINAL BET that you would
like to Raise. Your bet will now be the original bet PLUS the raise!
Fold means that you do not wish to continue this hand. When you Fold,
you lose whatever money you have already put into the Pot.
There will be a betting period after each player receives their next
card until everyone has 5 cards. Then there will be a final bet, and the
others will reveal their cards to you and the computer will determine the
winner.
3. 5 Card Mexican Stud: Each player will receive 5 cards face down. You will
then turn over your 1st card and place a bet. Player #2 will then begin
turning over cards until he has beaten what you have turned over. If he
cannot beat your cards, then he is out, and the next player in turn will do
the same thing. there will be a betting period after each person turns
enough cards to be high hand or when someone drops out.
4. 7 Card Draw Poker: This is the same as # 1 above except that everyone
gets 7 cards instead of 5, you may draw upto 4 cards, and at the end, your
best 5 cards will be your final hand.
5. 7 Card Stud Poker: Same as # 2 above except that everyone will get 7
cards, the first 2 will be face down, and the last card will be face down.
You play your best five cards.
6. 7 Card Mexican Stud: Same as # 3 above except that eveyone gets 7 cards
instead of 5. You play your best five cards.
7. Hold 'Em: (Also known as Texas Hold 'Em) Each Player will be dealt 2
cards face down, yours are up of course but the other players don't know
what you have. There will be 5 cards dealt face up in the middle of the
table, these are "Common Cards", that is, every player will use their 2
cards plus the 5 in the middle to make their Poker hand. 3 common cards
will be dealt first, then you will be asked to bet. Then 1 more card will
be placed in the middle and you will bet again. The last common card will
then be placed in the middle and you will make your final bet. Your
opponent's cards will then be turned over and the winner determined!
